Halloween festivities!!

Halloween is getting to be such a fun holiday because Lydia LOVES dressing up!! Every day she asks to wear her "pretty"
After Disney Land Lydia has a slight obsession with Minnie and Mickey Mouse so this costume suited her perfectly!

Here's a picture of her in her full gear next to the pumkin she painted!
Saturday was a pretty yucky day with lots of freezing cold rain but we made it out to a couple houses and Lydia talked Jeff into putting on the Pooh costume!!
Its pretty hilarious and I think our neighbors thought he was crazy haha
We got to go to the cornbelly corn maze at Thanksgiving point and I highly recommend it!
There were so many fun activities for little ones!
They even had face painting which made it even more exciting! Now Lydia points to her face everyday wanting to get it painted!
Silly girl with her face painted and chewing gum
We had a fun night painting pumkins, drinking hot chocolate and decorating carmel apples with Chris and his cute wife Jill and Lacee or "Sadie" as Lydia calls her
And another face painting at Garnder Village! Can you tell she feels like a princess!?
We can't wait for more Halloweens with this little girl and next year she'll have a sister to tag along with her!
Hopefully next years Halloween doesn't get rained out!

Kitchen Island redo

I am loving having a full size kitchen with lots of space to put fun kitchen items!
There is one thing about our kitchen that has always bugged me and that is the kitchen island
It was painted a cracked black, which is popular but not really my style and also it wasnt in the best shape

Before:
So I decided to do my research and take the project on myself to refinish the island and make it Fab!

After:
Its hard to tell from the picture but I sanded, painted, stained, protected and added some fun decorations to the corners!

I think it brightens up the kitchen and adds some shabby chic to our home, which I LOVE!

Now lets see how it holds up!

All Gussied Up

I never thought I would be able to get all dressed up in a fancy dress again!
Well APX (Jeffs employer) Threw a black tie event party which means I got to pull out an old homecoming dress that I wore in High School!
Of course being 7 1/2 months pregnant and not wanting to show as much skin as I once did I had to make some alterations which included a jacket and sewing up a slit that went way too far north!

The night included dinner at Bennihana, a limo ride and some fun and games at the Salt Lake City Country Club.
They had tons of fun gifts but of course we didn't win anything after waiting around until midnight for them to read of the raffle ticket numbers.... bummer!

Disney

We recently got to go on our annual trip to Disney Land with Jeffs family!

We had soo much fun since Lydia is now old enough to love everything going on!

She especially loved all the characters and wasnt scared on any of the rides!

Lydia loved wearing her princess dress and kept looking down at her dress and twirling!
Lydia has an obsession with airplanes lately so she was SO excited when she got to touch one with Papa
I think Lydia's favorite character was this bear. We saw him at Goofys Kitchen and she wouldn't stop following him around and giving him hugs

Our little thrill seeker loving dumbo

Of course the highlight of the trip was spending time with cousins!

Boo!!

I'm so excited October is finally here!
Now I don't have to feel bad having Halloween decorations up!
Our first holiday in our new home!

Here's a little glimpse into our home this holiday!

And here's a project Jeff's working on for me!!
Bending over to do laudry gets harder every day with my growing belly.. but who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on pedestals!?

Here's our version in the making! Talk about cute, cheap and functional!
Now we just need to add some molding to finish it off and destress it a little bit to make it look awesome!
I'll share pictures when its all done!

Happy Fall!

A Go At Tumbling

I decided to put Lydia in a mommy and me tumbling class seeing that soon with a new baby we won't be able to do things like this as easy!

I can't say it was the most enjoyable experience but I'm glad we did it none the less....

of course when they asked if i was going to re-register I told them I would get back to them on that one

Here she is in action!
(I think she was supposed to be sitting on the carpet stretching)

We signed up with Lydia's cute little friend Cosette!
THey Love each other!

Horsey!

This past weekened we were lucky enough to be able to go up to Wyoming and ride horses, 4 wheelers, relax and spend time with family!

It was soo fun and Lydia was in heaven!!
She didn't pass up one activity and got to ride everything and loved it!

Here she is on the Horsey with her cousin Harriet! They were so cute riding around with each other and weren't scared at all!

Of Course Lydia had to wear her cowboy boots, which she insists on wearing everyday even though they are 2 sizes too small.

Hopefully its not too long before this girl gets to ride a horse again!

Growing Growing Growing Belly

This belly wont stop growing!!
Which I guess is a good thing!
I'm just hoping my stomach doesnt get quite as big as it did with Lydia....
I get HUGE!!

So before I become unrecognizable we thought we would get some mommy/ daughter/ belly shots!

Linda was kind enough to take these for us!

I'm sure its hard for Lydia to really understand that there's an actual baby growing inside there, its wierd and amazing even for me to think about
23 weeks/ 6 months!
And yes it is for sure another GIRL!
I look like I could almost be 9 months already!

Can you beleive my baby is 2!!!

Yup, that's right, this little lady turned 2 in July!!
{We're a little late blogging so get ready for picture overload}
{Linda took this adorable picture; throughherlensonline.com}

A week before Lydia's birthday we decided to make a trip to Ohio, seeing that it would be the very last trip where we wouldn't have to buy Lydia a plane ticket... such a bummer!

We were able to meet my Dad's now Fiance Linda, and spend lots of time with Courtney and her little{not so little} guy Cameron!

One of the highlites of the trip was going to a pottery painting place!

Look how happy Lydia was painting all my herself!
They both worked soo hard on their projects!

I Love this picture because it shows how much fun they have together and how much they love each other! Cameron likes to call Lydia his sister!
Align Center
Of course we had a {Dora} cake while we were at my Dads!

Lydia LOVES blowing out candles and asked to do it again and again!
Which helped make fore a good picture {Thanks Linda} Aren't her pictures amazing!
We had such a good time spending some summer days with people we love!!
This is Lydia on her actual birthday morning! She got to have a cupcake for breakfast!

We had a little party at Pump it Up with some friends from the office!

Lydia had a blast and loved bouncing around with her friends!!
Were So thankful for this little girl and we can't beleive how big she's getting, and SO fast!
Its so fun watching Lydia grow into such a sweet, compasionate and smart little girl
{with a lot of personality I might add}

We Love you Lydia Rose and can't wait to spend lots more birthdays with you!
